Israeli Settlers Attack Palestinians Across West Bank, Injuring Several
In one incident, armed settlers attacked three Palestinians while they were working on their land in Beit Imrin, north of Nablus, leaving them with bruises and other injuries. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said one of the injured was evacuated to a hospital for treatment.
Separately, settlers reportedly targeted the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, though further details about the incident were not immediately available.
In the central West Bank, two Palestinians were hurt after settlers blocked a road between the village of Ramoun and the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, and assaulted them. One victim sustained head injuries and was taken to a hospital, while the other suffered bruises.
Voice of Palestine reported that settlers also targeted a cave in the Wadi I’mer area near al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, as part of a wider pattern of attacks in the region.
According to the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, illegal settlers carried out at least 468 attacks on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank during January alone.
Since launching its war on the Gaza Strip on October 8, 2023, Israel has escalated military operations in the West Bank, including killings, arrests, forced displacement, and settlement expansion—a strategy Palestinians view as paving the way for formal annexation of the occupied territory.
